New Year’s Resolution Energy Pledge

Make your New Year’s Resolution a green one this year and join the Glow-worm campaign to save energy!
We’re asking for customers to make a SAVE ENERGY PLEDGE on Twitter. All you have to is send your pledge to @YourHotTopics (via Twitter) and include the #saveenergypledge.
Maybe it’s switching to energy saving light bulbs, investing in a composter or getting yourself a new high efficiency boiler from Glow-worm. Every little helps!
We’ll be profiling all the #saveenergypledge tweets on our website www.yourhottopics.com so you can view what people have committed to achieving in 2010 right across the UK. Maybe you’ll get some inspiration as to what you can to do to save energy in the year ahead?
To celebrate the fantastic efforts of everyone involved we’ll also be picking tweets at random who include the #saveenergypledge hash tag to give away FIVE Glow-worm Ultracom boilers over the course of January.
What better incentive to help the environment!
If you have any questions about the competition please contact us via the blog and I will do my best to respond to you ASAP.
Don’t forget to make your #saveenergypledge today! Click here to leave your tweet at our Twitter page @yourhottopics.

i pledge to save energy by changing all my lightbulbs to low energy ones and to switch things off at night as well as only charging the family’s mobile phones when they need it and also we could put on a jumper instead of having the heating on constantly through the colder weather (which usually results in having to open windows therefore heating the outside) and also turn radiators down in the rooms we don’t use.

I am going to make sure I turn off my laptop when I’m not using it and do the same with applicances like hair straightners, which quite often get left on. Whenever i leave a room, if there’s anything that can be turned off, I will do it!
