  • gail - “Hi, not sure if this is the right medium for this question, but I have a Glow Worm Space saver 45-60. It has been so reliable, but today, the pilot light just went out and the heating will not work now. the timer seems to be talking to the boiler but not reigniting.. any thoughts.”

  • admin - “Hi Gail

The best thing for you to do is to call one of our recommended installers – you can do a postcode search on our website http://www.glow-wormheating.co.uk to find your nearest – many of them will be working up to Christmas Eve so you should be able to get it sorted before the big day.

Sorry I can’t do more over the blog – need to be there in person really.

    Regards, Sally”

  • Paula Rich - “I m trying to top up the boiler pressure using the the blue valve below as shown on the front of the boiler, when i do this water pours out of an open pipe underneath, the pipe in question has a threaded end, should this have a cap or is it purely for draining the system ? Can anyone help ? ? ? ?”

  • admin - “Hi Paula

It sounds as though your filling lopp has been disconnected, which IS the correct procedure water regulations which stipulate that after the system is filled, the loop should be disconnected.

Your installer probably should have shown you how to reconnect it – give them a call and they’ll be able to advise. I’m happy to report this is not a boiler fault, so you you will be up and running in no time : )

    Cheers, Sally”
