Google has launched a massive campaign to reduce carbon emissions with a new project and website to boot.
The UK Carbon Footprint Project aims to make information on calculating and reducing carbon footprints, as well as information on climate change in the UK, easily accessible to everyone.
Similar to the Glow-worm boiler calculator, the new site also has a special carbon calculator so that you can measure your own footprint. You can then check ideas and suggestions to reduce your footprint, comparing to those of others around the country. What a great idea.
You can also share ideas, ask advice and even find people in your local area to collaborate with by joining the UK Carbon Footprint discussion group.
The project has been set up with a number of partners including the energy saving trust and defra. Lot’s of energy saving ideas for the benefit of us all.
