Hi Ronald

Your boiler is still in warranty so I can arrange for one of our service engineers to come out and have a look.

In order to do this I need some more information - I'll send you a private message and if you can respond I'll get this sorted ASAP.

Thanks, Sally

From Ronald Phillips,
Hello, In April of this year our central heating system was upgraded by Bracknell Forest Homes, the installers were a sub-contract company and Wates were the
contracter. The system worked satisfactory untill the central heating side was used due to the cold weather. Since then the boiler has intermittently been swiching off, giving a fault reading of F1. I have had wates in four times to try to rectify the problem and although they have found various faults in the system
the main fault is still present. What is happening is that the boiler will after a period of satisfactory running, suddenly start oscillating between showing the declining temperature and then showing the system pressureand seemingly try to ignite. with the result that the boiler will close down showing a reading of F1.
The boiler type is 'FLEXICM 18 SX.

Hi Richard, sorry to hear you're having problems. Before I can help I need to know what type of your boiler you have; combi, system etc? And model?

I suspect it maybe a combi - if the plate heat exchanger (the one that provides hot water) has been progressively getting sludged up by the system water and blocked, that could well be to blame.

Let me have the necessary information - if you can - and I'll do my best to help!

Thanks, Sally
